About Us

The Just for Kicks Clogger team is a group of people from around northern Michigan that come to dance and have fun. We offer three levels of class, beginner, intermediate and performance/advanced. The beginner class requires no dance skills or background. It is a class that moves at your pace and is taught in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The intermediate class is the next level. When the beginners graduate, they move into this class. Most people move up to this level in about a year. The last level is performance/advanced- it is a more structured class. They are taught routines that have to be memorized.
We do several performances throughout the year in northern Michigan. Although performing is not required, most members do perform. We have danced at some of the following places: 9&10 News for Michigan This Morning, 9&10 News The Four, Tea Parties, Village Days, Relays For Life, Old 27 Motor Tour and Car Show, United Way, Nursing Homes, Wellington Farm Park, Parades, Commission On Aging (COA) events, Red Hat Events, Fundraisers, Friends of the Library Shetland Sisterhood, Christmas in the Village, Pot Luck gatherings, Church Events, Miss Roscommon County/ Miss Teen Roscommon Pageant. We also attend workshops in Michigan, Ohio, other states and Canada. The team was featured in the True North Section of the Bay City Times and several other Michigan Papers. We were also featured in the Tip Up Town Jan. 15th 2013 edition of the Houghton Lake Resorter. Winner of the 2014 Cherry Festival  Cherry Royale Parade Queens Award for most Humorous Entry.
